Why We Created Green To Go™

Like you, we’ve noticed that our industrial processes and products are creating a great strain on our environment. Our air and our waterways are suffering from pollutants. At the same time, our non–renewable natural resources are being heavily depleted by overuse.

At ICS, we’re very concerned about this issue – and we’re doing something about it. Recently, we launched our Green to Go™ initiative, offering a wide range of environmentally friendly products for your office and pantry, and lots of practical advice, information, and further resources so you can make more of a difference, both at work and at home.

Green to Go™ redefines the term “disposable” for commonly used office and pantry items. Unlike other products which are non-recyclable throwaways, our Green items are recycled and/or recyclable, made from organic materials whenever possible. When you dispose of them, they are either recycled again or they biodegrade and are reclaimed back into our Earth’s ecosystems.

Our wide selection of Green products includes Fair Trade/ Organic and Rainforest Alliance Certified coffees and teas, plates and bowls made from renewable resources including sugarcane, grass and reed plasma, Fabrikal Greenware Products made entirely from corn resin, Biodegradable Cutlery which is heat tolerant and water resistant, and Green Seal Certified Paper Towels that contain 40% post-consumer content and are 100% recycled.

We’re also offering lots of information on different ways of being Green, including a variety of environmental articles and links to additional Green resources. You can sign up to receive our GreenGrams™, filled with more helpful ideas. By joining our Green to Go™ Program, your company will be taking an important step towards lessening the strain on our environment.

This is just the beginning. ICS is going to be continuously expanding our line of Green products. Soon, we’ll be adding liquid hand soaps, bathroom cleansers, trash bags, and other organic cleaning products. Of course, if there are other environmentally friendly office or pantry items you want to see us carry, just let us know.

Every time you purchase items from our Green to Go™ line, you’re making a difference. When you stop buying bottled water and use a filtration system instead, you’re making a difference. In fact, by purchasing any of our Green items, you’re contributing to the solution instead of the problem.

At ICS, we believe that now is the time for all of us to take affirmative action whenever and wherever we can. With that in mind, we have launched our Green to Go™ initiative as our first step in the process. Whether your first step is buying cups and napkins made from recycled paper, discontinuing the purchase of bottled water and installing water filtration units instead, or launching your own Green programs, we applaud you.
